Why did I start Current?
Put shortly? For you.
After college, I fell in love with small business. I worked for two great ones, doing everything from taxes to ordering tee shirts to email marketing... just a little bit of everything.
And somewhere along the way, I realized how much I loved being in the room when a business owner asks the question "How can we do this better?"
That's still one of my favorite things about Current. I get to sit across from business owners who are ready to grow, change, or try something new.
For a new business, I get to be there in the dream stage. The idea is still a little nebulous. Maybe you have a name, a logo scribbled somewhere, and a million tabs open with ideas for what your business could become. I get to help turn all of that into something tangible: a brand, a website, an online store, a place for people to actually find you.
For an established business,I get to be part of the Before & After (and I'm a sucker for a good before and after). There's something incredibly satisfying about taking a business that's been doing things the same way for years and helping them see what's possible on the other side of an updated brand, a better website, or a smarter online strategy.
In fact, my favorite phone calls are the one that start with:
“Wow. I had no idea this would make such a difference.”
And then they tell me they're getting more inquiries, booking further out, or finally feel proud to send people to their website.
For me, that's the good stuff.
